Hollywooddaze.com is a website for Hollywood Gossips. The site is filled with news, blog, photos, and video contents. The revenue model of Hollywooddaze.com is Google Adsense and some other affiliate advertising.

A note for Hollywooddaze.com. It is a website generated by machine. Same as Mercedesmonthly.com, Stocktrades.com, and many others, these are the auto-generated content websites.
The Internet has evolved with new technology to help domain owners to monetize the parked, unused, domain names. This is how Evolanding has made its debut in last October. It uses proprietary technology to generate relevant rich-media content for each of the domain name, analyze possible keywords to associate with the domain, add some basic SEO tweaks for organic traffic. Everything is fully automated.
Digital real estate business is getting interesting these days with all the technologies and creative cost-benefit economic model. In the June 2007 issue of Business 2.0, the cover boy is Kevin Ham who runs a US$300 million business for domain name monetization. Ham owns more than 300,000 domain names, his digital real estate business has generated an estimated $70 million a year in revenue. Business 2.0 calls him the man who owns the Internet. His entrepreneur story is quite an interesting read.
Talking about the man who owns the Internet, a friend of mine is the man who owns “HK.” I am thinking to do an interview with him. It should be another interesting story about the local Internet business scene.
Some domain monetization practices are quite controversial. Just a couple days ago, news came out and said Google and ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) would impose control measure on domain tasting. Domain tasting is a practice to monetize the newly re-registered domain names with stuff-in advertising for type-in and misspelled traffics. Domain tasters take the advantage of the five-day grace period (AGP) to monetize the traffic for a big batch of newly registered domain names before canceling all of them and get full refund. That means the cost of that five-day advertising revenue is zero.
Anyway, now with the auto-generated content technology, the unused domain names are not just something stuffed with advertising to capture type-in or misspelled traffic. These auto-generated websites are actually quite readable. In some cases, they look even better than the human-generated websites. Fascinating!
