My last two weeks have been a total hectic. Meeting and pitching clashed with my blogger’s conscience of guilt. I haven’t posted anything for almost two weeks. Now, I am very happy to be able to pick up my writing again!

I want to write about Nick Swanson. Nick is a commercial jet pilot, but he has something to do with Internet. Because he founded the first and the only Hong Kong Internet Music Radio - www.hongkongfm.net. Nick was a professional DJ in Australia before flying commercial jet. The site was started as a homegrown project out of Nick’s pocket. Now, it is a site with over tens of thousands of audiences from all over the world and many advertisers as well. That’s really good. I met Nick last week and hopefully we both would have something to work together.

Talking about Hong Kong Internet business scene. I went to the Web Wednesday last night. Well, I was quite amazed by the turnout rate. Someone in the venue told me 1/3 of the Hong Kong digital business people were there. I was lucky enough to be one of them. Napoleon Biggs, the organizer, has done a great job!

Last night the speaker was Ivy Wong, the COO of TVB.COM. The topic was about engaging consumers via UGC and social media. This topic doesn’t really connect me, but I just love the mingling scene. However, what really inspires me last night is how organic event works. I know a couple of great community builders. I will certainly write something about organic event. It is getting more and more popular, and proven.

Next week I will be in Xiamen, China to moderate two sessions of SMX - Search Marketing Expo. One of the most anticipated China events for me in 2008. There will be a lot of mingling and interesting stories ahead. I will keep you posted.
